Thank you for visiting my website. I hope the following can give you a better understanding of who I am. If you have questions please feel free to call my clinic.

I am a primary care physician and licensed acupuncturist. I received a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine and Master’s of Acupuncture in Seattle, WA, from Bastyr University, the leading accredited academic and research institution of natural medicine.

While at Bastyr University I was a clinician in many specialty clinics such as: Physical Medicine, Harborview Outpatient Clinic for Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia, The Country Doctor Community Health Center, The Rainer Park Medical Clinic – Public Health, The High Point Health Center – Public Health. I have also done preceptorships with outstanding physicians, working at Group Health Pediatric Urgent Care and at a Physical and Rehab Naturopathic Clinic.

Following graduation from Bastyr, I completed post-graduate training at Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a leading university hospital in China. While studying and practicing Acupuncture at Chengdu I saw hundreds of patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I primarily worked in the neurology department of the hospital and was also involved in several outpatient clinics. I treated a variety of maladies including pain management, infertility, diabetes, heart disease, face-lifts and anti-ageing, affording me a wonderful variety of experiences. I have also spent the last 6 months improving my Spanish language skills in order to better serve Spanish-speaking patients.

Along with my general practice, I also have special interest in Neurological and Orthopedic disorders as well as chronic disease.

I have been involved with sports medicine and exercise physiology for over 10 years. My undergraduate work was in sports medicine and exercise physiology at Colorado State University-one of the finest such programs in the country. I followed this with a degree in naturopathy from Bastyr University, which combined a traditional western medical curriculum with the principles of natural medicine, and then completed a graduate program in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and acupuncture. Based on these experiences, I have started the Natural Sports Medicine Clinic to offer clients my unique perspective on exercise, nutrition, sports enhancement, and rehabilitation.

I believe that acupuncture and naturopathic medicine, integrated appropriately with conventional medicine is the key to wellness, and to improving healthcare in America. Many people have found both traditional Chinese methods as well as naturopathic methods to be excellent tools for maintaining optimum health and preventing illness, and to be effective for physical, psychological and emotional conditions.
