New research from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden suggests that six factors in middle age are associated with the risk of dementia later in life. The lifestyle-related risk predictors were the same as those previously linked to heart disease and stroke–high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels, obesity and lack of exercise–along with low educational attainment and advancing age.
